Alpine Climbing
In combination with the Kayak trips we can offer either a joint Kayak/Climb or a pure week of climbing.
Situated in Briancon we start the week off by undertaking single pitch routes at a range of venues, usually we visit 2 sites per day that offer a range of climbs from beginner to advanced depending on the level of the group. All sites are within 50km of Briancon.
All aspects of ‘sport’ climbing are covered including, safety, rope work and climbing techniques that will enhance your enjoyment for the rest of the week.
After the initial 2/3 days we then move onto ‘multi pitch’ climbing, the level of which depends on the level of the group. We will ascend some of the Alps largest mountains, which offer breath taking and panoramic views, each climb has a minimum 9 pitches and some have more than 20. Each route is selected within the group’s ability.
You may also have the opportunity to have a day ‘via Ferrata’ this is one aspect of climbing that is open to anyone. The mountain has a series of wires and pegs that traverse, ascend and descend the mountain. Part of this is climbing and part of this is scrambling. Previous groups have really enjoyed this unusual activity in a fantastic environment.
Prices start from £220 per person that includes a package of Accommodation, ferry crossing and equipment if required. Full guiding and leading is also included. You may also have the option of fly drive, email for details.

LEARN TO WINDSURF
Why not experience the thrill of windsurfing at one of Yorkshires premiere water sports centres. This one-day course will give you all the basic techniques to start you off in this thrilling and exciting sport. Working on a ratio of not more than one instructor to four students you can be assured of personal attention throughout.
Instructors are qualified to Royal Yachting Association standards, and with modern, up to date equipment, will enhance your learning experience.

LEARN TO SAIL This one-day course is aimed at the total beginner or those with limited amount of experience. The day begins with familiarisation with the craft together with hands on experience. The afternoon session is spent trying the new skills learnt in either single or double-handed craft.
